Passing thru from out of the area, i stopped in after seeing they had sour beer. Staff was nice to let me sample a couple brews to help me decide. Ordered and it was at my table in just a few minutes. Tried the drunken noodle after seeing another review. Omgosh it's SOOO good! Noodles had just a bit of chewiness and a nice amount of heat. I'll definitely be back next time I pass thru!
The mango red curry special was fantastic. The cream cheese wontons came out hot and were very flavorful. Service was fast and everyone was kind. Perfect for weary travelers.
One of the best places to eat in Bemidji, the staff is always super nice and the food never lets us down. well it did once, about a year ago they change their chicken wings and I still love them and order them often their previous chicken wings were just the best. GET THE GAPROW!
I stop at Tara Thai frequently for lunch when working in the Bemidji area. You order at the counter, and your food is brought to the table. They offer local alcoholic beverages and bottled sodas, but I typically just stick to the self-service water cooler. The dishes are very fresh and you can adjust the spiciness if needed. I currently order extra spicy drunken noodles with chicken, but the pad thai and curries are also highly recommended. Staff is very friendly, and I think the owner is typically on site. Seating can be limited during lunch, I've noticed, but I don't mind sharing a hightop with another group of people necessary. It's always nice to find great Asian in small town Minnesota. I'll be back soon.
Great Thai food with an impressive spice level for a small town in the Midwest. Good vegetarian options and for the items with eggs it's possible to make it vegan when ordering. We ordered the drunken noodles and green curry and both were good. They also have local beer with happy hour from 6-8pm.
Food was good and spicy. Even the fried rice had some spice. It was very authentic Thai food. Servers were welcoming and friendly.

Tara is by far my favorite resturaunt. They know us by name and our order! Always quick, friendly, and AMAZING food! Would recommend to anyone wanting good quality food and a great atmosphere!
